I know there are weigh too many diet blogs and websites and gurus and diets out there. (Maybe too many puns as well, but let's table [heh] that for now, shall we?) All that information confuses me too, and bores me spitless. But the fact remains that I weigh too much. I have to work on my weight. It is a constant in my life. I know many of my friends also grapple with this.
There are things that help me. It's a head game, isn't it? Well, is it? Let me know. I see this as an ongoing conversation we can have about weighty issues.
I've been reducing calories and exercising 3-5 times per week (either walking 3 miles or mountain biking for an hour), and I've gained 4 pounds. The plus side though is that I can walk faster, and my calves are starting to "decankelize", which will give me a little more a little more stamina for Disney next week. ;) I do regret weighing myself though.

I have that same experience, Kristen. I realize that muscle weighs more than fat, but it was still discouraging to get on that scale. But then I tried on some shorts that were on sale...they were Under Armor shorts that I had tried on at least three times previously, and lo and behold, THEY FIT (and I bought them!) So yeah, that whole "losing inches" thing isn't a marketing trick employed by the gyms to increase membership. Ha!
